Cast Iron Dutch Oven and Chili

I used my Bobby Flay Cast Iron Dutch oven for the second time tonight and I can't tell you how much I love it. I made my middle son's favorite Chili and it turned out great! Right now Kohls has them on sale, so you might want to check them out!

* Click the "Chili" link for the recipe

Being cast iron it will last forever but I'm thinking about getting another one. I have a horrible tendency.......if I like something I have to get more than one!

What to do with those Chili leftovers?
We make our Perfect Baked Potatoes and fill them
with the chili, cheese, sour cream, minced onion and
cilantro.  Oh yeah......don't for get the Cholula Sauce!

My kids REALLY go for this "leftover" dinner!

  1. Hard to beat chili on a cold day and there's some in my near future. This looks like a more traditional SW version (which I've been wanting to try) and I may make up a little batch of it, as I'll likely have to eat it all - Bev must have tomatoes in hers.

also, thanks for your comment on Carrigan's Joy. I really do appreciate the reminder that not all people are out to be mean and hateful! :)
