Christmas Dinner Menu Planning.......

Okay.........I'm just starting to plan my Christmas menu and I need some
feedback.  What do you think of this one?

so much we swore we would have it for Christmas this year. Then my
husband proclaimed that we should have surf and turf so.........I added
on tenderloin steak medallions and I figure you can't go wrong with some
Red Lobster type Garlic Cheddar biscuits and salad.

To top it all off is my favorite dessert of 2010.......Tessa Kiro's Carrot

What are you guys having for your Christmas dinner?
I'd love to hear from you!

  33. Thank you for visiting me and following my blog. I am now following you back.

We usually celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve with both sides of the family. First its at my husbands parents and thier Christmas menu is usually pasta salad, three bean salad (yeah its hard getting used to summer dishes in the middle of winter. His mom makes this for EVERYTHING)and then Ham and Turkey, Potato and Carrots. With Cupcakes.

After that we go to my Aunts house and her dinner is a traditional ham christmas dinner.

This year we are also hosting a lunch/dinner at our house Christmas day. Its going to be nothing big. Beef and Gravy Sandwhiches with cheesy patatoes and a veggie. Simple for people who dont have anywhere to go.

Will you be making a special drink to go with all your yummy food? We have spiced cranberry/apple cider every year. Its this beautiful red drink (non alcohol) we take cranberries and put them on a tooth pick then throw it in, as a pretty little touch.

  40. I am so flattered you are following my blog Mika, thank you so much. I am returning the love.

You menu is great. I personally love Ina Garten(The Barefoot Contessa). I have nearly all her cookbooks.

A staple every Christmas as a starter in my home is my Chicken Liver Pate with hints of cranberry and Brandy. For dessert I usually do a Trifle (my husbands favorite) and a warm bread pudding with mince fruit and rum cream sauce.

I haven't decided on my main as yet, but Smoked turkey with wild rice stuffing , Shrimp Linguine in a white wine sauce and possibly a Maple Brown Sugar baked ham.

I guess I should decide soon. Much Love,

    Lisa @ Lesapea xx

No Christmas dinner plans so far, but I think surf and turf sounds good to me. The store has shrimp on super sale later this week (one day sales with low limits.) I just need to find a cut of beef I can afford (higher prices up in Alaska for most everything.)
