Mini Lattice Cherry Pies

My daughter Bay and I decided to try out my new William-Sonoma Lattice
Pocket Pie Mold today.  We had so much fun working together on these
little cuties!  We weren't going for a recipe......we just used Pillsbury Pie
crust and tinned cherry pie filling because we were anxious to test the molds.

I got the last lattice molds our store had.  They do have others in the shape
of apples, hearts, stars and pumpkins.  They are sooo cute!  I love William-
Sonoma....  I think I'm W-S junkie.....

The mold was very easy to use but we came up with a few tricks to get the
dough out of the lattice side including using a toothpick. It worked great!

Here you stuff with any filling you like.  I can't wait to try a savory pie like
a cornish pasty or a spanish empanada.

These would be just perfect for a picnic or in a lunchbox.  It's the perfect
portion for one.

Cupcakes smupcakes.......instead of little cakes......how about little pies instead?

  5. Mika, I love these little pies. I have the apple and the star. Haven't used the apple yet, but used the star ones for our 4th of July party. They were a huge hit. I think you just inspired me to get the lattice ones. I'm a W-S junkie too! Happy New Year! ~ Blessings, Janet

  23. Those look delicious! I'm not much of a baker...wish I was. My mom and grandma were masters in the kitchen. I do, howver, enjoy cooking and trying new recipes...nothing to exotic...more like down-home cooking. My 4 boys aren't very trusting when I put something new in front of them...so I have to keep things pretty mellow. And we use a lot of beef...what can I say, my parents own a cattle farm!!
