Jim and I are crazy about Buffalo Sauce. Our very favorite way to have it is on my....
.......Buffalo Chicken Salad
My Buffalo Chicken Salad consists of salad mix, celery, sharp cheddar cheese crumbles, blue cheese dressing and chicken poppers we get at Sam's. I make a sauce of Frank's Hot sauce and brown sugar to get a nice hot/sweet thing going. You can click on the link above to see the entire recipe.
Anyway.... I decided to take our favorite weeknight meal and make it into a pizza. Oh my! Can you say......winner, winner, chicken dinner? It was fan-freaking-tastic! Bay came back for 3rds........ THIRDS people...she's only 11.
One interesting thing.......instead of buffalo sauce for the main sauce next to the crust, I used
a healthy amount ...errr.... I mean an unhealthy amount of blue cheese dressing. I like Marzetti Light Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing. It's light but it sure doesn't taste like it. Okay......go ahead...say it. I can read your mind, you are thinking.......cold celery on pizza? YES!
It really gives you that Buffalo wing flavor in spades! Go ahead.......try it and get back to me. I know you'll like it. ;)
