Here's a fast post about one of my favorite breakfast treats! There is nothing so comforting as garlicky, cheesy grits! We often serve them for dinner with the eggs and ham steak or if you want a fancier meal with grilled shrimp and a nice salad.
Mika's Fast and Easy Garlicky Cheesy Grits
4 cups water
4 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
4 tbs. butter
1 cup quick grits
½ tsp. garlic granules
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
In a medium saucepan, bring water, bouillon, butter, grits and garlic granules to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 7 minutes, until grits are thickened and tender.
Remove from heat and stir in the cheese, stirring until melted.
(recipe can easily be reduced or doubled)
With winter coming on this is a great recipe to have in your arsenal. You can have a warm satisfying dinner on the table in a matter of minutes and your family will love you for it!
